Morph — Privacy Policy
Effective 21 July 2026
The short version: your photos never leave your phone. Morph has no accounts, no cloud backup, and no ads. The only information that ever leaves your device is the minimal purchase data Apple and our subscription provider need to process a subscription — never your photos, and never anything used to advertise to you.
What Morph stores — and where
Morph is a progress-photo app. Everything it stores about you lives locally on your device:
- Your photos — every photo you take or import is saved only in Morph's private storage on your device. They are never uploaded anywhere.
- Your name — if you choose to enter it during setup, it is stored only on your device and used only to personalize on-screen text. You can decline to provide it.
- Your settings — preferences such as reminder times, check-in frequency, and setup answers are stored only on your device.
Morph has no servers of its own. We are technically unable to see your photos, your name, or any of the above information.
Purchases
Morph offers an optional paid subscription (Morph Pro). If you subscribe:
- The payment itself is processed entirely by Apple through your App Store account. We never see or receive your payment card, billing address, or Apple ID.
- To unlock Pro features on your devices and keep your subscription status accurate, we use RevenueCat, a subscription-management service. RevenueCat receives your App Store purchase receipt and an anonymous, app-generated identifier so it can tell whether your subscription is active. It does not receive your photos, your name, or your contact details.
- We use RevenueCat's aggregated dashboards to understand subscription totals (for example, how many people subscribed) — never to identify or track you as an individual, and never for advertising.
You can read RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
What Morph does not do
- No account or sign-up of any kind
- No cloud storage or backups of your photos run by us
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers
- No cross-app or cross-site tracking, and no data brokers
- No selling of your personal data
Device permissions
Morph asks for permissions only when needed, and only to do the thing you asked for:
- Camera — to take progress photos, including the ghost-overlay alignment view. Images go straight to on-device storage.
- Photo library — to import existing photos into a morph, and to save your exported comparisons or timelapse videos if you choose to save them.
- Notifications — to deliver the check-in reminders you set. These are local notifications scheduled on your device; no notification data leaves it.
- Face ID — to optionally lock the app or individual morphs. Biometric authentication is performed entirely by iOS; Morph never sees or stores your biometric data.
You can revoke any of these permissions at any time in your device Settings.
Data retention and deletion
Because everything about you is stored on your device, you are in full control:
- Delete individual photos or entire morphs inside the app at any time.
- Deleting the Morph app removes all of its on-device data permanently. There is no copy anywhere else.
- Purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat are tied to your App Store account, not to any profile we keep. To manage or cancel a subscription, use Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device.
Children
Morph is not directed at children under 13. The app does not collect personal data such as name or contact information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If Morph's data practices ever change — for example, if we add an optional cloud backup — this policy will be updated first, and the effective date above will change. Material changes will be highlighted in the app.
